Local mystery: a recent collaborative effort (sequentially NL, SJ, myself) saw many flocks of crossbills passing over and picked up to the north of us at Haddon's Pits (MB); though some briefly landed. All left to the North (MB). Photo © Mark Buckley.

Per BirdGuides: A Brown Booby was seen and photographed by fishermen on a boat off the coast of the Isle of Wight on 9 May.
