Local mystery: a recent collaborative effort (sequentially NL, SJ, myself) saw many flocks of crossbills passing over and picked up to the north of us at Haddon's Pits (MB); though some briefly landed. All left to the North (MB). Photo © Mark Buckley.

Per BirdGuidesA Brown Booby was seen and photographed by fishermen on a boat off the coast of the Isle of Wight on 9 May.
The bird came aboard Belgian trawler Jasmine Z-483 around 5 km south-east of Bembridge, at the eastern end of the island, and lingered for several hours: https://www.birdguides.com/articles/britain-ireland/brown-booby-in-isle-of-wight-waters/
