SCP

South westerlies and drizzle [gusting F7-8] at St. Cath's on May 23rd, 17:15-20:10, produced 296 Manx Shearwater (West). Plus 32 kitts west etc. And one Arctic Skua east (17:30). 

Bittern 'booming' recently at Brading Marsh. Hobby etc. 

Probably my best self-found bird, this imm female Montagu's Harrier was quartering fields near Whale Chine Isle of Wight yesterday. Got permission before releasing news. Signs of spring.

Bizarre: Tree Pipit flew over St. Boniface Down on March 14, a date apparently equalling the previous 'earliest' from the last 20 years (RBA's stats); 10 days ahead of the median first. And I'm yet to see a Wheatear or hirundine 😕
